Anglerfish Fish live in the deep ocean where it is pitch dark, typically at depths of 200 to 1,000 meters or more.

𓆡 Female anglerfish have a bioluminescent lure that dangles from their heads. It lights up to attract prey in the dark ocean depths. The light is produced by symbiotic bacteria living inside the lure.

𓆡 Female anglerfish are much larger than males. Males are tiny and attach themselves to females, becoming parasites that help with reproduction. Some males fuse with the female and rely on her for nutrients.

𓆡 Anglerfish have large sharp teeth and can swallow prey up to twice their size due to their expandable jaws and elastic stomachs.
