
Flying Squirrel are about 50 species worldwide, found in North America, Europe, and Asia. They don’t fly they glide using a skin membrane called a patagium that stretches between their front and back legs.

They are active at night and have large eyes to help them see in the dark, some species can glide over 100 meters about 300 feet in a single leap. They are excellent climbers and live mainly in trees.

Food Habits of Flying Squirrel are

1. Flying squirrels are omnivores.
2. Their diet are Fruits, nuts, seeds, Fungi and lichens, insects, bird eggs, small birds, tree sap and buds.
3. They are known to store food in tree cavities for winter.
